Physical and Emotional Health Issues and Education

The truth of the matter is Maximized Living is looking to close the gap between physical and emotional health issues and education.

The future of our children is at stake and is creating a growing trend of challenges within our schools. Maximized Living is taking a stand and working with leaders in the education system that have the ability to change the culture in societies and in school’s by touching the future leaders of the world. By focusing on issues such as self esteem, creating wellness programs and using the 5 Essentials as a foundation for our children, we are establishing a new era in health and wellness for our children’s future.

One of the 5 Essentials, minimize toxins, focuses on a hot topic that is a source of continual debate throughout the US: using medication to treat symptoms and illness. More specifically, the use of anti-depressants and other similar drugs that are increasingly becoming the solution to cover up emotional health issues rather than getting straight to the issue.

Within the last 10 years there have been multiple tragedies within our education system that all of us have watched in horror. Not only has it had an impact on the individuals who witnessed the events, it has directly changed society. Columbine High School was the first well known school shooting, taking the lives of 13 and injuring 24.  This location became a virtual ground zero for school violence of this kind.

Since then, many similar events have occurred at places like Virginia Tech, University of Northern Illinois, Shepherd State, Red Lake High, Delaware State, schools in Australia and Canada, and dozens more that were or weren’t promoted in the media.  Some school officials even say, “We have a Columbine every day.”

Reaching out to the school’s that have suffered violence – and offering healing, hope, and a sound mind

Maximized Living, known for our worldwide health and wellness mission, was asked to present at Columbine High School, Virginia Tech and Shepherd State on Maximized Mind. The focus of these events is to speak out on the effect of modern lifestyle on today’s youth and how to start the healing process in their minds and bodies. The goal is to reduce the out of control problem of mental illness in young adults and slow down the outbreak of violence on campuses. It’s done through giving students real goals, a true vision for their future, and showing them how to create a path to achieving and not denying their dreams.

Below are highlights from our presentations at each of these schools.
